Ron DiIulio
Currently, the Director of the Astronomy Program and Planetarium at the University of North Texas, Ron has decades of teaching experience from middle and high school levels to adjunct astronomy positions with Texas Christian University (TCU) and the University of North Texas (UNT). He has produced many documentary programs on Astronomical and Astrophysical subjects for broadcast and cable television networks, as well as radio programs for the BBC and PBS. In the 20 years since he took over the reins at the University of North Texas, UNT's astronomy program has grown from about 300 students to over 3,000 students, making it one of the largest undergraduate astronomy laboratory courses in the United States. |

Preston Starr
Preston's career working with the software giant, Oracle, as well an extensive tenure as an observatory engineer, provides him with some unique tools that he brings to the TelescopeSafari team. Currently, he is the superintendent of 16 telescopes located in various sites in Texas as part of the astronomy program at the University of North Texas. In addition, Preston owns and operates the Dark Sky Observatory, which hosts 22 telescope sites near the McDonald Observatory, in far west Texas. In addition to his work insuring the continuous operation of all TelescopeSafari systems, Preston provides consultation services for remote observatory design, construction, and remote operation. |

Donald Waid
After successful careers as a US Naval attack pilot and a pilot for Eastern Airlines, Donald continues to reach new heights as a Citizen Astronomer, dedicated to providing excellence in astronomy by sharing his knowledge of astroimaging and post-processing, along with his engineering expertise designing and building observatory support systems. Well known for his work in astrophotography, Donald is the author of the video DVD Astronomical Image Processing Tutorials which aided new astronomy enthusiasts around the world in their quest to capture, process, and display the celestial wonders of the night sky. He now specializes in consultation services in astroimage postprocessing and exoplanet transit photometry, and received certification by the AAVSO in exoplanet photometry. |

If you are interested becoming a Telescope Safari guide, please let us know what programs you might be interested in guiding. You can then tell us what $$$ you'd accept for each evening of your services. We will then market your services to all of our inquiries.
